Fireflies - 2's Class
MWF and T/TH from 9:15-12:00
In a cozy group of eight with two teachers, our 2-year-olds spend their days learning to be with friends, expressing big feelings, and exploring through play, music, art, and lots of laughter. Potty training is NOT required.
Ladybugs - 2.5 - 3's Class
MWF and T/TH from 9:15-12:00
Our 2.5’s class serves as a bridge between our 2’s and 3’s, adding a bit more structure while staying rooted in play. With smaller class sizes (2:10), children explore early academic concepts and participate in more involved activities while continuing to grow socially and emotionally. Potty training is NOT required.
Bumblebees - 3's Class
MWF and T/TH from 9:00-12:00
Our 3’s class is where confidence and independence really begin to grow. With a balance of play and gentle structure, children build friendships, strengthen social-emotional skills, and dive deeper into early academics through hands-on activities, music, and art.
Ratio: 2 teachers to up to 18 students. Potty training is required.
Caterpillars - 4's / Pre-k
MWF 9:00-12:00, T/TH 9:00 - 12:00
Our 4’s class offers a more structured, kindergarten-ready experience while still rooted in play and creativity.
Our Monday/Wednesday/Friday program follows a traditional preschool format (2:18), while our Tuesday/Thursday class features longer days with a special focus on STEAM-based exploration in a small group setting of 1:10.
Potty training is required.
Butterflies - Kindergarten/TK
Monday - Friday, 8:45-2:15
Our Kindergarten/Transitional Kindergarten class blends strong academics with a play-based approach to learning. With a maximum of 10 students, children receive individualized support as they build confidence in reading, writing, math, and social skills—preparing them for a successful transition to either Kindergarten or 1st grade.
Lunch Bunch
Lunch Bunch is a fun midday extension of the preschool day where children stay after class to enjoy lunch with friends and participate in relaxed play and social time until 1:00 PM. Designed as a gentle introduction to longer school days, Lunch Bunch gives children extra opportunities to build independence, practice mealtime routines, and strengthen friendships.
Families have the flexibility to enroll month-to-month or as ongoing care, with scheduling options ranging from 1–5 days per week.
Wrap-Around Care: Early Drop
Need a little extra flexibility in your morning routine? Our wrap-around care program offers early drop-off beginning at 8:00 AM, providing children with a calm, nurturing start to their day before class begins at 9:00 or 9:15. Children will enjoy supervised free play, quiet activities, and time to ease into the school day in a familiar and welcoming environment.
To help create consistency for children and staffing, enrollment is offered on a regular schedule of Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday, or both rather than drop-in care.
Wrap-Around Care: Extended Play
Following Lunch Bunch, our Extended Play program offers families a little extra flexibility at the end of the preschool day with care from 1:00–2:00 PM. Children will enjoy additional time for play, friendships, outdoor exploration, in a familiar, nurturing environment while parents get a little extra time in their afternoon.
To help create consistency for children and staffing, enrollment is offered on a regular schedule of Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday, or both rather than drop-in care.
VCP Exclusive Summer Camps
Our summer camps are a playful way for children ages 3–5 to stay connected, continue learning, and make summer memories with familiar friends and teachers. Offered Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, each camp features hands-on activities, outdoor play, crafts, games, and themed adventures designed especially for preschool-aged children.
- Messy Masterpiece Camp: June 22–25
- Under the Sea Camp: July 6–9
- Little Chef Cooking Camp: July 27–30
Summer camps are exclusively available to incoming, current, and outgoing students of Valley Christian Preschool, and children must be potty trained to attend.
No two days at Valley Christian Preschool look exactly the same, but each classroom follows a thoughtful daily rhythm designed to help children feel confident, engaged, and excited to learn.
Our days include snack time (sent from home), free choice play, guided and open-ended art experiences, sensory exploration, circle time, songs, dancing, music, storytelling, and plenty of gross motor play on our playground or in the gym.
Rather than relying on worksheets or rigid academics, our teachers intentionally weave early learning concepts like letters, numbers, science, problem solving, and social-emotional skills into fun, hands-on experiences throughout the day in ways that feel meaningful and engaging for young children.
As children grow, our programs gradually incorporate more structure and academic readiness while still protecting the importance of play. Our Kindergarten program offers a stronger academic focus designed to prepare students for their next step in education, while still creating ample time for creativity, movement, imagination, exploration, and the joyful play experiences that are essential for young learners.
