our classroom
Our 4’s classroom is filled with so much excitement! Ms. Laura, Ms. Maria, and Ms.Danielle have created a wonderful space for our students to discover and practice new skills, ask questions, and gain confidence in their learning! We reinforce the social skills already acquired and expand the learning skills necessary to have a successful transition to Kindergarten, all while staying true to our play-based philosophy.
The teacher/student ratio is 2:18.

In our classroom, we teach important values like loving others, being helpful and kind, and what it means to be a good friend and classmate.
Each day we start class by saying aloud together… “Kind Thoughts, Kind words, Kind hearts” and take a big deep breath to prepare us for a great day!

Ms. laura
Laura is an extremely gifted teacher with a love for inspiring young minds and facilitating learning through hands-on activities. She especially loves watching the pride and joy on the faces of her students as they work hard to accomplish new tasks and learn new skills.

This is Ms. Maria’s 3rd year at Valley and we’re so blessed to have her on staff! She lives in Beaverton with her husband and 2 kiddos. She comes with us with ample experience and a degree in early childhood education.

We are thrilled that Ms.Danielle has joined our 4’s class this year! She’s been serving as our assistant director since 2019 and has been a huge asset to our school. It’s going to be a great year in the Caterpillar class!
Danielle lives in Portland with her husband and two children, both whom attended VCP!
